“[My child] is doing really well overall, with a calm, happy, and more focused affect at school. I heartily feel that his regular connection with you has made a beneficial impact.
[He] also recently shared very positive feedback about your support, and … growth and engagement. I am hopeful that he will be able to continue in sessions with you over the summer and/or fall.”
“Honestly, I doubted you from the very beginning when you said [my son] could successfully go to college and live away from home. But you were absolutely right. I honestly can’t thank you enough. I can’t imagine that I would ever have dreamed this was a possibility for him without your support. He is so excited about his future now. I get a little choked up when I think about the difference you made in my son’s life. I will always be grateful.”
“Thank you for the live you did with [my son]. This year has been on the extreme side of difficult and, although I work as an SLP, I am a mom first and [could not] wear both hats for our son. Your live with [him] was exactly what I needed…it was an ah-ha moment for me. Thank you for the work you do, it is indeed good work.”
“Thank you for that wonderful session. [My child] really adores you… and he listens to what you say when you explain things in such a clear language. He can follow the steps. I am so grateful we found you. Thanks again for your support.”
“OMG, I don’t know what you did, but [my son] was a different boy at dinner tonight. He conversed, asked some questions and was generally more relaxed. WOW!!! You did this, Mike… I think he can process the way you are laying ideas out to him… he responded to this session extremely well.”
“I want you to know how much of an impact you have had on [my child] ..in such a short time. He genuinely likes and trusts you. He is slowly understanding that the change and de-escalation has to start within himself. You are wonderful. Looking forward to the session tomorrow.”
What went well in Q3:
1. Passed all classes
2. Didn’t miss any projects
3. Improved on completion and quality of projects
4. Achieved 81 and higher in ALL classes …
5. Significantly improved organization and time management skills
… I’m so encouraged – particularly by the work on replacing negative self-talk with positive goals and the spreadsheet. I have also noticed, increasingly small acts of thoughtfulness on [my child’s] part …
Mike, I honestly don’t think either [my son] or I would have ever thought this was possible without your encouragement. You were a hundred percent correct – he was so ready to branch out and be independent. I just couldn’t / wouldn’t see it. I will always be grateful.
Guys!! Today was awesome – I was giving [my child] space but I wanted to stay in the room and listen! You connected with him in so many ways, and I want to thank you for that. [My son] brings so much sunshine to our family and I just want his confidence to shine and be the best he can be. Looking forward to Mondays …
“… By the way, we continue to get very positive unsolicited feedback being more on conversational (from his therapist recently). And we are seeing in him a desire to socialize more — for example after school he used to stand alone and wait by himself for us to pick him up every single day even though the other kids were nearby socializing with each other. Now he joins the other kids. It’s wonderful to see. I do not pretend to understand what you are doing in your work with him but it’s nothing short of a miracle from our perspective.”
Outside of school, we are seeing a lot of nice engagement as well. He’s reaching out to friends more often, branching out and talking to new people. … So again, lots of good things happening. He’s working really hard and we are very proud of him.

GrowNow has been an incredible find! We had a great experience from inception through to “graduation”. Highly recommend for anyone who has a child with ADHD.

Michael McLeod of GrowNOW came and spoke at a meeting for Special Education Alliance of Cheltenham. We were impressed with the depth of his knowledge and we really appreciated the time he took to thoughtfully address the many questions participants asked.

“There has been a noticeable difference in your son in the last year and we’re unsure what has brought on this big change.” This was the consensus at my last IEP meeting and the mysterious cause for the big change was GROW NOW. My son has been getting services since he was 2, he is now 14. This last year he has gone once a week and worked with a therapist to help him refine his social skills, work on his dialogue (speech) and, primarily, learn executive function skills. Executive function is not something the school district prioritizes but it is something that kids with learning differences often need. I can’t recommend this office enough!

Michael definitely knows his stuff! As a mom of a neurodivergent child, and as a speech pathologist and as a neurodiverse person myself I can say with confidence that I highly recommend learning from him.

I'm a speech-language pathologist and I must say Grow Now's online resources are fantastic - lots of practical strategies to help build a child's executive functioning skills! I especially like the Tech Executive Function Grow Plan, super helpful.

Mike McLeod has made a huge impact on our 11-year-old son who struggles with Executive Functioning challenges. He had helped him with confidence, organization, self-regulation. Most importantly, he has helped him to recognize that he does not need gaming to stimulate his mind and feel connected to others. We are so grateful and look forward to his support through our son’s middle school years!

Less than a year ago, the GrowNOW page came up in my Facebook feed, and I saw multiple endorsements for Mike. My daughter is currently 16, has ASD and severe Apraxia of Speech. She can sign, write/type, spell and read but she is non-verbal. Therapy has been tough over the years, but I reached out to Mike to see if he would meet her. For the first time in many years I had hope. She is a great communicator, but we know her potential to talk is there. The therapy for apraxia is intense and is needed regularly and we believe that working with Mike is exactly what she needs. He is what has been missing. Our daughter has developed a fondness for him that we don’t see often, and is working harder than I have seen her work in a very long time. He is a real deal and I am so glad we found him!
